The wound had to be treated surgically, which according to the initial assessment would have resulted in three weeks of complete incapacity to work.   --- ### 02 Solution The doctor contacted the patient on the day of the accident. After consultation with the treating surgeon, a **reassignment** was organized in agreement with the employer. The patient took on administrative tasks in the incoming goods department and coordinated internal processes while seated and without putting any strain on the injured leg.   --- ### 03 Partial ability to work Thanks to the targeted adjustments, the logistics employee was able to gradually return to work: - **Week 1:** 0% fit for work (wound healing, limited mobility) - **Week 2-3:** 50% fit for work (use in the warehouse office, no physical strain) - **From week 4:** 100% fit for work --- ### 04 Results - **Better project management:** The employee contributed to day-to-day business despite the injury and internal communication was improved - **Significant cost savings:** CHF 6,000 - CHF 10,000 for the company - **Reduction in absenteeism:** By a total of 10 days --- ### 05 Share success story This case study shows how pragmatic and coordinated support enables an early return to work.
