A 31-year-old female patient presented with typical right-sided lower abdominal pain. The diagnosis confirmed the suspicion of acute appendicitis, whereupon an operation was performed on the same day. Due to her physical activity as a cleaner, she was put on full sick leave for two weeks.
After two weeks of complete incapacity for work, the doctor consulted with the patient and the employer. The aim was an early return to work without any health risks. Together, a 50% workload was agreed for the third week - without heavy lifting or pulling movements.
